Since 1993, the Vignerons de Chusclan have been engaged in the process of getting to know the land they farm, with the help of the union of wine-growers of the Côtes du Rhône.

In a first phase, it was a matter of mapping and studying the land forming the Chusclan appellation. The databased information became the tool for tracing every aspect of the vineyards. Next, an analysis of the behaviour of vines in different areas provided the basis of an improved yield management system together with advice on quality control. This vast undertaking led to the development of a number of vineyards boasting real quality potential and the separate vinification of the grapes from these vineyards These procedures have given birth to three regional vintages: - les Granges (sandy-pebbly mulches spread across alternate layers of sand and marl), - les Monticauts (modified pebbly terraces lying above sandy marl), - Château de Gicon (modifications of deep sandy strata).
