Over the years successive directors of the cave have remained true to the cooperative ideals of the founder-members: people are the driving force, with technical innovation at their disposal.
Any changes are decided upon together and undertaken with a view to ensuring that all the wine producers can continue to exercise a trade that they love with respect for the "terroir".

Even if the winegrower is not an elected administrator, he can and should have his say in the
knowledge that he will be listened to; it's important that he put a lot of himself into the
cave, in other words to make his contribution to the common good. To facilitate this,
pro-active and enterprising committees have been set up and dialogue is ongoing.
For example, in 2003, the Vignerons of Chusclan launched an initiative enabling its members,
for the very first time, to produce individual wines using some of the grapes from their
vineyards. In 2004, 19 of them did just that. 3 of the wine-growers went so far as to vinify
grapes from their own vineyards themselves, using the facilities available at the
cave.
The Chusclan wine producers also help young people in the region to establish themselves as
wine producers, giving them land to work: for more details, click here.
